Driving to your holiday
When spending your holiday away from your normal place of residence, the usual option for getting there is to fly. It seems to make the most sense: it can be cheap if you book it in advance and you’re not flying too far away and it’s a fast and relatively comfortable way to travel. But some people choose not to, for they feel that it takes away the pleasure from the trip itself. Many people choose to drive to their holiday destination, and, like flying, it too has its ups and downs.
Price plays an issue in this as much as it does with airplane travel. Gasoline and toll roads all factor in to possibly make it an expensive journey. There’s also the issue of the wear on your car – a long ride is sure to cause extra strain on the car’s mechanics and on the tires. Of course, using a cheap car hire service can circumvent this issue. You’ll need to add the price of the car rental to the overall price tag, but you also need to consider that your own car will be safe inside your garage while you travel. It may also be worth it if you need a different kind of car – like if you need a bigger one to carry all the suitcases or, on the contrary, choose to take a more economic car and save up on gas.

Virgin Holidays- Rockstar Service
At Virgin Holidays, we believe amazing service should come as standard. That’s why Virgin Holiday’s magic touches are made available to all Virgin Holidays customers – not just the VIPs! We realise that you want to make the most of being on holiday, so we came up with Check in, Chill out, so you can check in for your flight without leaving the beach…or bar. Airports are a drag. The holiday only really starts when you get to your destination. And if you’ve got kids, then airports are living nightmares. So, to perk up the airport experience, we came up with the VRoom. And when you’re on holiday, you want to make sure it’s as good as it can be. That’s where Virgin Holidays’ Concierge service comes in – a concierge actually tuned in to the buzz of your destination, not a guy in a suit on kick backs from rip-off restaurants. This belief is what sets Virgin Holidays apart from the competition. That’s why we actually encourage our customers to ‘Ask For the World’.
But how do you express that exclusive treatment in a single thought. What do Virgin Holidays offer that no-one else does? We think it can be described as…
“ROCKSTAR SERVICE”
It’s a level of care you’d normally associate with the glamour and excitement of the entertainment elite. Made available to every Virgin Holidays customer.
With Virgin Holidays, you can rest assured that you’ll get intuitive, imaginative typically brilliant twinkle-in-the-eye Virgin service, every single time you travel with us.

Dawn of class
There are many symbols of class that people can wear on them. A designer suit, or a dress for the ladies, is just one of them. Expensive watches, designer shoes are other outside symbols of class and wealth. And, of course, a large house, tasteful decorated, works of art and beautiful statues, all of that screams class, prestige and, ultimately, money.
But some of the greatest symbols of class around are cars. Some brands, like Rolls Royce, BMW and Mercedes, among others, have become synonymous with prestige and high society. Any prestige car hire company will have all of those brands, and will probably quicker have them over sports car brands or supercars like Ferrari or Lamborghini.
When it comes to supercars, the one brand that seems to rival in class with the “prestige” brands is Porsche. It’s often said that a Porsche is the classical supercar, especially in the sense that it’s not only built for looks and for speed, it’s made to be driven. And it has what all of the prestige brands have: timelessness and history. The history of the 19th century has been written behind the wheels of automobiles, and a lot of these automobiles have been Porsches.

Come for the beach, stay for the fun
One of the most celebrated holiday spots in the UK is the Dorset County. Famous for its beaches, amazing geological formations, but also because of the beauty of its countryside and landscapes, Dorset County has something to please any holiday goer. The beaches may not be as warm or stunning like tropical holiday spots, but Dorset makes up for it in effort, style and price.
Dorset hotel rooms aren’t too expensive and you can find anything to please you in the County. There has been a concerted effort by authorities and private hotel and resort owners to improve the overall quality of facilities, and that shows immensely. There’s nothing more beautiful than the County’s rocky beaches, like Durdle Door beach, it’s amazing sandy beaches like Chesil beach, or even points of interest like the Weymouth promenade, where you can mingle with several other tourists that came to enjoy Dorset’s stunning beauty.
And nightlife has taken a step for the best in Dorset as well. Long are the days of stuffy entertainment and lack of fun. The modern tourist is younger, more vibrant and more demanding and Dorset has stepped up and fulfilled that demand with a passion. So come on down and find out for yourself.

Accommodation Flexibility Rewards
It pays off to be flexible! If your vacation plans aren’t set yet, you should consider being flexible with your holiday dates. Big savings can be found by comparing the dates in any given month. Everything from luxury hotels, to budget hotels will have different rates from night to night. Moving your vacation dates by just a few days could result in amazing savings.
Using a comparative website is the best way to find flexible accommodation rates. Find a monthly rate chart for any given hotel, and find the days with the cheapest rates. Take advantage of the lower fees and save on one of the biggest expenses of your vacation. With the addition of deals, offers, and special discounts, you can make your holiday an affordable one with just your accommodation choice.

The Cambodia Affair
A country once torn by civil war, Cambodia has become one of the most popular destinations in the Indochina region. With its beautiful beaches and some of the most famous archeological ruins: the archeological complex of Angkor, the ancient seat of power and home of the Khmer Empire.
Cambodia can easily be found among your travel agency’s cheap travel deals packages. They’re famous for accepting US Dollars as currency, and rounding most prices up for a dollar. You can even get dollars at local ATMs. Paying a dollar for everything may add up eventually, but if you consider that you can pay as little as 2 dollars a night in a hotel, you’re in for some pretty cheap holidays.
As far as safety goes, Cambodia is a pretty welcoming country. Crime isn’t really very widespread, although the occasional thief will always be on the lookout for unattended baggage and valuables, so keep those close by. Phnom Pehn, one of the larger cities in the country, is where there are more problems with purse snatching and robbery, so keep an eye out especially when you’re there. Of course, try to stay out of trouble and in well light areas and you’ll most certainly be fine.

Family Vacation Accommodation
If you’re planning a family vacation, you might find it’s stressful to think of all the details and organize everything, especially accommodation. Traveling with a family is much different than traveling with just your spouse, for example. If you’re a hardcore budget traveler, you can stay in a dorm at a Hostel to save some money. But when you are arranging a family holiday, your options are more limited. Kids of all ages need specific things when it comes to accommodation. You won’t just need more space in your room, but you’ll need convenient ways to keep them entertained, and give them a comfortable atmosphere similar to home. Hotels can’t offer this, so you should consider looking into self catering holidays.
This vacation option provides you with the space and freedom your family holiday will demand. Get the comfortable, home away from home environment you crave, and the facilities and amenities you need to relax and unwind during your vacation. Let the kids have the opportunity to play in the pool while you soak up the sun. You can play some tennis or go to a restaurant all on the grounds. Everything is nearby and accessible!
